Benefits Of Gates Cambridge Scholarship:
The bill gates scholarship covers the full cost of studying at Cambridge university and provides some additional funding:
- Cambridge university composition fee.
- A maintenance allowance of approximately £17,500 for 12 months.
- Airfare.
- UK visa and the immigration health surcharge costs.
The award also considers applications for various types of additional funding on a discretionary basis:
1- Academic development funding: depending on the length of the selected course, the provided support may be up to £2,000.
2- Family allowance: £10,120 for the first child, and £4,320 for the second child.
3- Fieldwork support: this support will allow you to keep your normal maintenance allowance even while on fieldwork as part of your Ph.D.
4- Maternity/paternity funding: this will allow you to intermit your studies for up to 6 months and keep receiving your allowance during this period.
5- Hardship funding: for unexpected difficulties.

Eligibility Criteria:
- International students, except students from the UK.
- Applicants need to be applying for full-time postgraduate, masters, or Ph.D. Program at the university of Cambridge.
- Applicants must be shown proves of their academic excellence.
- Students must be able to explain the reason why they chose the specific course.
